Ha! Ha! It pays to play the devil and live to tell the story as the dark knight alive.

Ask famous British actor Christopher Lee.

At 87,Christopher has marked a special milestone in his long life playing the evil one.

Just before Halloween last Friday,Prince Charles knighted Christopher renowned for his chilling blood sucking evil baddy lead roles as Count Dracula,Saruman and Scaramanga for the outstanding services he contributed to drama and charity in the movie industry with 250 films, especially Horror thrillers.

Apparently,Prince Charles had enjoyed sleepless nights after viewing Christopher as Count Dracula in Hammer Horror movies in the 1950s.

Now,even at his elderly age,Christopher is still scaring movie viewers as the horrible Saruman in The Lord of the Rings and the unforgettable Scaramanga in James Bond flick,"The Man With The Golden Gun".Of course,he has also chilled people in Star Wars.

Enjoying his new status as dark knight alive,Christopher told the AFP: "What's really important for me is,as an old man,I'm known by my own generation and the next generation, know me too."

So after Count Dracula,Saruman and Scaramanga,Christopher goes laughing to the bank as the walking dark knight.

Not bad for someone hated on fantasy reels but loved by fascinated horror film addicts like Prince Charles in real life!
