Darth Vader was originally a Pom

While it may not be an explosive revelation to most Star War fans, Darth Vader originally sounded very different... he had an english accent.

David Prowse, the English actor and body builder was the original voice of Darth Vader, the hunkier voice of James Earl Jones being dubbed in later.
