Today is the much anticipated release of Keanu Reeve's sci-fi motion picture remake of the 1951classic film The Day The Earth Stood Still from Twenthieth Century Fox Studios. The remake looks to be a sure box-office winner, remade again by Twentieth Century Fox starring Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly.
I am left wondering though will it have people watching more closely the skies after seeing this film. If so it possibly will the co-inside with a rise in reported and documented UFO sightings around the world. The gut feeling I get from this remake theatrical release is one of inspiration and possible hope. Hollywood certainly can assist in the study of ufology as a semi-partner in desensitizing people to the possiblity of Extra-terrestrial life. It will be seen if this movie does enhance ufo sightings in the next while or not. I shall keep my eyes and ears open for any such increase in reports.
I also will give my opinion on this motion picture as soon as I see The Day The Earth Stood Still opening today
