the Day the Earth Stood Still in Review by Pair a Normal Guys Inc

The unofficial numbers of box office earnings for The Day The Earth Stood Still is an estimated $US31.5 million taking first place in sales this weekend.  This is according to studio estimates. I myself will be venturing this evening to watch this highly anticipated film, from the general reaction of film goers this motion picture is worth the watch.

This movie is certainly worthy of watching in my opinion, the film begins in a sort of The Matrix mashed up with The X-Files.  Let's call it The Matrix-Files.  Keanu Reeves delivers a performance equal to Neo Anderson where as Jennifer Connelly portrays the sexy co-star that lights up the screen.    Jaden Smith will no doubt be a Hollywood regular with his fine performance.Without giving away the entire plot the battle scenes along with the Robot are an extremely well designed action scene.  Keeping that in mind the original 1951 The Day the Earth Stood Still was more sci-fi then action and the remake is more action the sci-fi , it is easily said that modern times in cinema mean modern twists to stories told before.  I would recommend this film , especially if you like big pyrotechniques and battle scenes.  Also if you have the slightest curiousity in UFOs this movie may interest you.   I throughly enjoyed this movie and would see it again.  5 out of 5
