'Dead' woman wakes up in morgue

The nightmare of many was " lived" by this 84 year old Polish woman as she was sent to the morgue as dead and " woke up" some hours later in a body bag.
The error was noticed only when someone saw her body bag in the morgue moving, police said.
The woman, from the village of Jablonowo, fell unconscious and her husband called an ambulance.
A doctor from the emergency medical services pronounced her dead, a police spokesman said.
"A funeral company took the body to the morgue. Several hours later, a worker there noticed the bag containing the body was moving," he said. "He called a doctor who noted the woman's vital functions had returned."
The woman was taken to hospital in the nearby town of Zwolen and placed in intensive care. Police have launched an investigation.

There are different factors that can cause a cataleptic state which can be mistaken with death. I suppose only specialists can determine this condition having the proper medical background to suspect it otherwise I guess mistakes can be made.

I am surprised that the funeral home brought the body to the morgue. I thought it was the other way around.

I heard this type of story before. One person was pronounced death and all the rituals were being conducted. Then there was this famous doctor who came for the funeral somehow figured out the person is not dead and saved him.
Same story, he was unconscious and people thought he was dead. When he regained his conscience, he said he was able to hear what people were talking and feared that he would be cremated alive. Thank god, the doctor came there.

Oh horror...but what if she had been buried..or in the casket and sat up as people viewed
the body? Here we have a process in prepping the body which would make this impossible.
Lawyers here too would be scrambling for her to SUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even in a cataleptic state, doesn't the person have to maintain an flow of oxygen. The way I see it, if the brain loses oxygen for more than five minutes it starts to die. This chick had to be without oxygen for quite a while to make it to the hospital, exam room, the morge and then to the funeral home.

This is one of the reasons embalming has been required. If people were embalmed they were certainly dead if not before. There have been multiple occasions when remains were exhumed and the contents of the casket were found tohave been torn apart by the person attempting to get out. This may all be urban legend, however.

That is what we call "miracle".
Maybe there are unfinished "business" of this woman in this wonderful world.
Some cases happen also in our country. Cold body becomes warm again then they can do miracles like they got some "healing powers".

Holy crap, the zombie apocalypse is upon us!!
Haha, just kidding (clearly). A few hundred years ago, there were bells with chains that went down into the coffin, with the bell above ground, so if someone were accidentally buried, they could pull the chain. I think it was around the time of the plague. People's pulse and breathing would become so weak that they appeared dead, just like this woman.
