Demolition operations for further expansion of the Holy Haram start

Makkah (ANTARA News) - Demolition operations of real estate to be eliminated to pave the way for further expansions of the northern premises of the Grand Mosque in Makkah as per directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud have started.

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, which supervises the operations, said the constructions are considered the biggest expansion for the holy mosque`s premises and parks in addition to the expansion of the Saee, passage for pilgrim-galloping between the mountains of Safa and Marwa, also under implementation upon directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The total area of the expansions of the northern and north western premises of the holy mosque amount to more than 300,000 sq. meter, the Saudi Arabian news agency SPA reported. (*) end
