Dennis LeRoy Anderson Gets DWI In Motorized La-Z-Boy Crash
Dennis LeRoy Anderson got a DWI for crashing his motorized La-Z-Boy recliner into a parked car. Apparently, Dennis Anderson drove his motorized La-Z-Boy to a bar called the Keyboard Lounge, drank "eight or nine beers", and then drove the chair back out of the bar... with a blood alcohol level of 0.29. (It's Motorized La-Z-Boy, not "Motorized Lazy Boy")
Dennis LeRoy Anderson's La-Z-Boy was customized with a stereo, cup holders, and a motor which allowed it to race along at up to 20 miles per hour. That last feature led from Keyboard Lounge to Keyboard Cat.
Sixth Judicial District Judge Heather Sweetland stayed 180 days of jail time Monday and ordered two years of probation for Anderson. His attorney, David Keegan, did not immediately return a call
Along with the stereo and cup holders, it is driven by a converted gasoline-powered lawnmower, and has a steering wheel, headlights and a power antenna.
Apparently, as the attached videos show, motorizing one's La-Z-Boy is a bit of a subculture all its own.

That is one wild and crazy guy, for a Minnesotan.
