Authorities don't seem to know what the hell is going on and are not sure whether the evil thieves are religious zealots, satanists or students who think it's "cool".
‘666′ road sign thefts bedeviling roadways
(AP)29 Sep 2008 at 3:34pm
AP - Is the Garden State Parkway the highway to hell? Or is the New Jersey Turnpike the road to damnation? Someone keeps stealing the metal signs at mile marker 66.6 along the heavily traveled toll roads, and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority is having a devil of a time keeping up with the thefts.

They will end up banning signs with the numbers 666 or 999 as they did in high rises there is no 13 th floor. Really strange though if you look for the 13th floor it goes from 12 to 14 no 13. I wonder some times.
