The real reason for the conversion to digital converter boxes is more to be concerned of then lead on. Firtsly the push for this seems to have come from nowhere and now we have a reason to be alerted. Watch as this individual opens the unit to expose the internal components contained within it. The "BIG BROTHER" all seeing eye has stretched it's grasp to the individual's own living room. I do know that there are also much rumoured television sets with reverse camera feeds embedded within them, this how ever can not be more of a blatent attepmt of control and invasion of privacy.
Not to mention the ultra- top-secret "PROJECT BLUE BEAM" that seems more real everyday www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXJGldPkgpM for those that are skeptical perhaps it's better for you to ignoe these issues and continue your life as you do in a "Matrix" oblivious to the big picture. I am not an alarmist rather an informist I try to deliver thought provoking material that goes deeper then the conventional media dares to travel. If you think it's non-sense then why did you read it? Maybe you are afraid of what lies ahead and your subconscious mind is telling you to wake up.

if this is true which i dont doubt! this only prooves that technology can be manipulated for nefarious purposes!common now is it really so hard to believe? think about it cameras are everywhere in this modern day and age now dont be naive to think that this might just be possible considering the advancement of technology(nano) and various other improvements i can just imagine that they have already that we dont even have a clue about!! p.s if you really want to know the truth go buy a magnavox and see if its true if its really bugging you that much rodgerma??

I'm not so concerned about Magnavox monitoring me as I am about some people thinking they are being monitored. Please come forward with some better evidence than: " I saw it on the Internet".
Don't get me wrong. I am all for getting the truth out. But back it up with fool proof evidence rather than gibberish nonsense.

All I wanted to do was to rise a question mark about the story. Nothing unintellectual about that, is it?
Maybe you want to become a journalist one day. Rule number one is to check your sources. Another rule would be to handle criticism well. Nobody is "after" your articles.
I'm hoping you will post a follow up to the story when the verdict is out. I'm curious, will you? Even if the youtube video turns out to be a hoax?

UHM OK THATS GREAT ADVICE HOWEVER IN CANADA WE ARE NOT REQUIRED TO UTILIZE THESE CONVERTERS FOR ME TO VARIFY THIS I WOULD HAVE TO GOTO THE U.S. EXAMINE ONE. SINCE YOU ARE SO CONCERNED WITH THE REALNESS OF THIS STORY WHY DONT YOU BUY ONE OPEN IT UP ON VIDEO AND SEND THE LINK TO NOWPUBLIC. THAT WAY YOU CAN SEE IF IT IS A HOAX OR NOT FIRSTHAND.

What most alarms me is the paranoia of people who are so worried about all these "top secret" ways for the government to keep track of us etc. And then when the OP replies in such rage to anyone that opposes his view, well it just really seals the deal that perhaps this individual is just very paranoid, there is nothing wrong with that but it is something for the rest of us to keep an eye out for. There is always a "Chicken Little" out there telling everyone that the sky is falling, I appreciate the OP sharing this but we all have to take a post like this with a lot of skepticism, especially after the way the OP acts, he is clearly not a very rational person and just screams of having a chip on his shoulder and feeling like everyone is out to attack him, we are not attacking, just expressing a different view.
Would I be surprised if there was a tracking device? Not at all, it's called advertising... heck, I'm probably being tracked online right now, I don't care. Not like I am going to get brainwashed, in the end I will most likely just get a lot more junk mail I don't want, but that's ok.

I am glad you wrote about those TV boxes. I worked as a cable television salesperson when cable TV first became available. Lots of people did not know that the signal has the capacity to run both ways - from your home as well as to your home. I don't know if that was ever used, but it can be done. Now these new TV boxes will get the rest of America - those without cable TV - hooked up to the hook-up! I might get ONE, and keep it in the closet when not in use. That box will not sit in my den and capture every word we say. They will just have to keep using the censoring devices they already use on my home to do that - like my computer modum.
