There are good and bad to both. With it illegal fewer people will choose to use it, simply because it is illegal. But because it is illegal there are tons of people of ill-repute making billions off of its sale and distribution that are funding terrorist and not paying taxes on funds. If it was legal we would grow it in our backyards if we wanted to and it would take all the money out of it.
The biggest problem with pot I have is this: it is not like alcohol where you can have one or two and not be affected, one or two hits and you are high, maybe not very but you are still impaired. But at least potheads aren't mean and angry like drunks are
I found something amazing!
Cannabis College In OaklandOne of California's most lucrative cash crops is thriving above ground in Oakland, as medical marijuana has become big business downtown.

Yes, I believe marijuana should be legal. It should never have been classified as a Schedule 1 drug. It is not anything like an opiate like black tar heroin or a hardcore stimulate like manufactured cyrstal meth. It's a weed, for god sakes, something that grows naturally in the ground.
I have only patronized cannabis dispensaries that follow the law and collect state sales tax on each transaction. however, all 3 have since been raided by the DEA and shut down, despite collecting the tax and following all other state, county and municipal laws regarding medical marijuana dispensaries operations. i was under the impression that medical marijuana was legal in California, but everyday, it becomes less and less available. growing is not a viable option, as that seems to come with severe consequences if caught, again despite the laws allowing cultivation to those with medical marijuana recommendations and permits to grow. maybe with this new Obama administration, medical marijuana laws will finally become real, federal laws will finally be overturned, and Obama will be able to appoint several supreme court justices that will believe in the legalization of/ decriminilization of marijuana. This is a new America, afterall.

I like it. Its very american. Americans should fight for what they think is right. and how unamerican is cannabis sativa and all other hemp verieties? i belive geroge washington was pro-cannabis, and so were the boats that he came on and the natives that thrived in the america's when he got there. its very unamerican to have some form of office thousands of miles away to come sabotage americans who are using medicine and rope.

I think that all of us that believe cannabis is medicinal should write to Obama and Biden, and our other elected representatives, and demand that cannabis should be removed from Schedule I classification.
Clearly, it does have current medical use for treatment in 13 states now, and to remain on the Schedule I listing it would have to have NO current medical use for treatment.

forget this sheet I love canabis makes my head feel fresh nMost of the cannabis around today is much stronger than it used to be. nThere is a worry that some young people will ‘binge smoke’ strong cannabis to try and get as stoned as possible, which is a particular concern because of the known risks of cannabis to long-term mental health. nCannabis can worsen the symptoms of schizophrenia and lead to relapse. nAnd as well as its short-term psychological effects, there is a probable, though weak, link between cannabis use and the later development of psychotic illness (such as schizophrenia). n
The ACMD thought that cannabis should remain a Class C drug. However the government decided to reclassify the drug because of the evidence that cannabis can be harmful to health, and that if young people smoke a lot of strong cannabis, like skunk, there is a possible increased risk to their future long term mental health. The Government are concerned that cannabis users currently cannot know how its use will affect their mental health in the future.
