Royal Mail bosses have declared a suburban street out of bounds because of a dog with an “intense hatred of postmen”.
Householders say that Jarvis the dog is generally friendly and even plays with the local children but for some reason reacts violently to people delivering the mail.
Now after two postmen were attacked by the Rhodesian Ridgeback-style dog, the Royal Mail has deemed the road too perilous to make deliveries.
The move means that the 100 or so residents of the street in Manchester have to travel four miles to pick up their post.....Read more
