For weeks, people have marveled at the heroics of Chesley Sullenberger and his crew that safely landed US Airways flight 1549 on the Hudson River.

A new online games has been created based on the so-called "Miracle on the Hudson". "Double Bird Strike" challenges gamers to keep their plane from hitting flocks of birds, which are believed to have been the cause of plane malfunction that forced the landing.

The game serves as a follow-up to "Hero on the Hudson," an online game that has been previously reviewed on NowPublic.

Both games were created by divisions of MTV Networks and have received a combined total of 1.5 million hits.

Hey, thanks for the coverage. Correction: Double Bird Strike wasn't a follow-up.  It actually came out first. It was launched on Tuesday 1/20. For some reason it just didn't get much love at first.
