Baja Crocodylus acutus - the 32 foot crocodile on Playa Los Cerritos Baja California Sur

Finish of magic show: The Nelson parents sat and hugged each other cuddled in a blanket as their two young daughters sat around the campfire, eyes bulged in amazement as I described how Blanco Bruja and Merlin the Magician prophesied that a 32 foot crododylus actus would come out of the Pacific ocean depths the evening of the 2nd to full moon that evening to perch and protect their little sand castle that they made for King Arthur that day on Playa Los Cerritos. As I finished the story, the eldest of the young sisters said,

"No way! Are there really crocodiles that big in the Baja, mommy?"

After the parents put their three young children to bed, they thanked me for telling the Merlin and the Crocodile fairy tale bedtime story. I turned and said to the little girls parents just before making my way back to my base camp where I parked my trusty motor home, which I delightfully named the Baja Chihuahua.

"You do believe that a huge Crocodylus acutus (crocodile) is down there on the beach protecting the daughter's sand castle, don't you?"

They smiled as I wandered away off into moonlight that January evening 2003. Magic and story aside, they must have thought I was truly out of my noodle.

As I sat on the beach trying to remember the magic spells of Chorea Gigantium and the Giant's Ring that Merlin taught me, a brilliant beam cast down from the moon lit sky near Playa Los Cerritos, Baja California.

Within four hours that January full moon I was finally able to decipher the ancient stone tablet script from a stone tablet that I found at the base of the legendary 'bleeding' yew tree in the old kingdom of Dyfed near the tiny village of Nanhyfer, in English. I found one of the 5th-6th century engraved stones tablet one hundred yards from outside the fence of the ancient churchyard and it is said to be one five of these magical stones used by Merlin to defeat evil. The one I found is a pillar-stone that is inscribed both with Ogam and Latin script, it has allowed me to summon many wondrous things ever since, including the giant slithering 7 meter pebble worm which made it's way out of it's subterranean cave just off the ocean depths near Los Cerritos point, just as Merlin had suggested.

As prophesied, Vortigern would be slain on the full moon light of the 2nd month of year 2003 just before dawn, and a giant pebble worm would appear out of the western depths of the blue Pacific to perch in his moat to protect Arthur's castle and push back the Saxons to protect the young Baja campers, their little brother, and their parents. And as I prophesied, to all the campers at Playa Los Cerritos in February 2003, that on the 3rd full moon of 2003, a large white 'Dove of Peace' would appear above Playa Los Cerritos, and looked exactly as I saw it in my premonition dream a month earlier, and it watched over the birth place of the Baja Crocodylus acutus and all the campers to warn them of the beginning of the 3rd great war.

(Note! true events of deja vu experiences I have had, and I told the campers that the USA would attack Iraq on the 3rd full moon and a large dove cloud would appear to signal it. That's why I document things on the Internet.)

True to the prophecy, the mother of the young family from Nelson British Columbia awoke to find that the ‘Blanco Bruja’ the slightly off-centre campfire 500 yards down the beach had spent all evening dabbling in magic in the moonlight to make everything in the fairy tale story told her little girls come true.

Just before she ran back up from the beach as quickly as she had set out on her morning jog, she stumbled upon the 32 foot slithering beast with the long tail, and jumped back in amazement. She yelled to her husband to wake the kids, as she arrived back at the motor home.

The young Nelson family made their way down to the beach where the girls had made the sand castle the day before. At first, the two little girls were afraid to go near the huge crocodile materialized out sand from the full moon lit night before. Eventually, they snuggled up close to the wondrous Baja Crocodylus acutus that was protecting their sand creation, and found him to be quite friendly.

For the next two weeks the 30 foot crocodile protected the young girls sand castle on Playa Los Cerritos, and was a sight to behold for all the other campers and tourists. Finally the crocodile slithered back pebble by pebble and grain by grain into the Pacific ocean depths; awaiting a future magical spell to summon his necessary guard.

============

Crocodylus: derived from the Greek krokodeilos meaning literally "pebble worm" (kroko = pebble; deilos = worm, or man) or appearance of a crocodile. > acutus: meaning "sharp" or "pointed" (Latin), referring to the shape of the snout.

No sense telling a story to complete strangers in the Baja if you're not going to use your magic
powers to make it come true.

No wonder my other alias is SO or Slightly Off-Center. I like to practice reading my magical stone tablet scripts near a beach full of pure ocean sand on full moons. And who else would tell such myths to Baja campers?

Do you believe in magic?

Written by SO (RandyMac) February 2003 in Baja California Sur, where I camped and lived to relax and hike. While living in Mexico, I would travel around, visit small villages and practiced my magic act on the beach were I camped. Often, I would entertain the local Mexicans, and they loved the magic, so they named me Blanco Bruja, or white witch.

I performed many, never for money magic shows only for the locals, as I traveled to remote locations in the lower Baja peninsula in 2003 to bring gifts donated by my friends or items I picked up such as bats and ball gloves, runners, clothes and shoes at flee markets (mainly California) on the way down to Baja from BC and Segundos (2nd hand stores).

I originally traveled to Mexico to relax after a re-occurrence of temporal lobe seizures came back again in late 2000. That's when I took a temporary retirement from the software industry that I was in for over 20 years and chose to relax and unwind and enjoy and almost stress free life for a few years. Temporal lobe seizures, can cause what people describe as deja vu, and it is as if you see a movie of an invent in a distant time period and it comes true or it happened before.

Too weird.

Just a little entertaining travel story of magic and lore from RandyMac.
