Examiner.com launches Canada Edition

Examiner.com is now international. The citizen journalist giant launched six Canadian editions:Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa,Calgary, Vancouver, and Canada National over night and the websites are up and running. This is big news because hyperlocal search is the future of new media and advertising dollars, with new media players like Huffpo and others looking to get in on the action. Examiner.com throws the gauntlet down once again and raises the mark as their monetization scheme is paying dividends and keeping them well ahead of the competition fresh off their purchase of Now Public a few months ago.  Based on Comcast stats Examiner.com over took Huffington Post in traffic figures earlier this year.
