Examiner.com is now international. The citizen journalist giant launched six Canadian editions:TorontoMontreal, Ottawa,Calgary, Vancouver, and Canada National over night and the websites are up and running. This is big news because hyperlocal search is the future of new media and advertising dollars, with new media players like Huffpo and others looking to get in on the action. Examiner.com throws the gauntlet down once again and raises the mark as their monetization scheme is paying dividends and keeping them well ahead of the competition fresh off their purchase of Now Public a few months ago.  Based on Comcast stats Examiner.com over took Huffington Post in traffic figures earlier this year. These are some of the best free lance writing jobs but you have to get a good topic and they go fast. Examiner.com is a news site based in Denver, Colorado that allows local citizen journalists to share their city-based knowledge on a blog-like platform, in over 60 cities in the United States. The site owned by Clarity Media Group, with the primary investor being billionaire Philip Anschutz, owner of the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), Regal Cinemas, and other media and entertainment companies.  To apply you need a couple examples of work you have published in your chosen field and it helps to be referred by someone who works for Examiner. You can use me Clifford Bryan-19673 so things go a little smoother. Some Examiners make over $100,000 a year.
