A Polish priest, Father Edward Pilarskiego, was dragged from the pulpit by his own parishoners as he was clutching a bottle of vodka. Father Pilarskiego was notorious for injecting foul language into his sermons as well as dipping into the parish's collection money for cigarettes and booze.
Villagers claimed the 62-year-old cared nothing about the church. 'He was nothing but trouble. Having no priest is better than having that one,' said one resident of Parciaki, in the Mazovia region of Poland.
The parishioners went so far as to change the church's locks to ensure Pilarskiego would not be able to gain entrance. In a pathetic plea for absolution for his taste for Absolut, Father Pilarskiego hid inside while the locks were being changed and then proceeded to beg for compassion from the churchgoers.

This story has now taken a somewhat bizarre twist with the organist at the church avenging the removal of his beloved boss - the drunken priest - by driving his car into the congregation as they stood outside the church on Sunday!! Lunatic. (Which in Polish means sleepwalker)
