Former Meals on Wheels charity worker moonlighting as escort?

SPOKANE - The one-time office manager for Mid-City Concern's Meals on Wheels program has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from the volunteer food program for seniors.

Now an investigation has revealed she may have also been taking hundreds of dollars from local men as an erotic escort.

Rachelle Solomon, the former office manager for Mid-City Concern's Meals on Wheels, and former executive director Cheri Mataya-Muncton were both in court Wednesday to plead not guilty to first degree theft charges for the misappropriation of $81,000 of the charity's money.

Mataya-Muncton pled not guilty while Solomon could not enter a plea because she did not have an attorney present.

Prosecutors claim that money intended to be spent on buying meals for needy seniors was instead spent by Mataya-Muncton and Solomon on lavish shopping sprees, home improvements and a Florida vacation.

Shortly after Mataya-Muncton and Solomon were recently charged with the theft, an e-mail from an unidentified source sent to KXLY4 Reporter Erik Loney indicated that Solomon was allegedly engaged in possibly illegal activities under the name "Ciarra Mist" and was advertising herself on several escort message boards and her own personal websites.

On her personal websites, Ciarra Mist included pictures of herself which looked remarkably similar to Rachelle Solomon. Ciarra said she wasn't an escort but she charged $300 an hour and $1,480 a night for her time and companionship. Her site also included a list of highly descriptive erotic services she was interested in.

The connection between former Meals on Wheels Office Manager Rachelle Solomon and "Ciarra Mist" could be as simple as a phone number and a tattoo.

The contact number for Ciarra Mist displayed on her personal websites and on erotic advertisements posted to Craigslist is registered to Rachelle Solomon while a tattoo seen on Rachelle Solomon's left forearm as she left the courtroom Wednesday was identical to one seen in many pictures of Ciarra Mist on the Internet.

Outside the courtroom Wednesday after she attempted to enter her plea Solomon gave a terse "No comment buddy" when asked to confirm whether or not she was moonlighting as high-priced erotic companion Ciarra Mist.

While Solomon had no comment, apparently Ciarra Mist did.

No more than an hour after Solomon was confronted in the Spokane County Courthouse at least one of Ciarra Mist's personal websites offering companionship had been deleted and replaced with a recipe for "Zesty Lemon Muffins."

Calls sent to Rachelle Solomon and e-mails sent to Ciarra Mist for comment on this story were not returned.
