Four kittens were found in a car that was about to be scrapped in Noble Auto Salvage yard Fife, Scotland, BBC news reports with an adorable picture.

The five-week old kittens appear to have got into the vehicle in Chester, 300 miles away, before the car was headed for Fife. The wherabouts of their mother is unknown.

They are now being cared for by the Scottish SPCA's Angus, Fife and Tayside animal rescue and rehoming centre.

"We've named them Sasha, Suki, Glen and Cole and they're really friendly."

The Scottish SPCA expects to find the kittens a home in about a month.
