How do you quit smoking? Smoker Geoff Spice is going to extreme measures hoping to quit his smoking habit. Geoff, 56, is to spend a month on an uninhabited island, Sgarabhaigh, to kick the nicotine addiction.
Sgarabhaigh is located in the Outer Hebrides off the coast of Scotland. Geoff a retired banker has tried patches, nicotine gum, and self-help books, but nothing has worked. He is now trying a 30-day no-smoking adventure on a deserted island with only food, water, and a tent.

He said: "I'll miss my wife and children very much, but hope this will lead to many years of extra life with them."
