Golf balls found inside rattling black lab
Oscar is a black lab with a rather peculiar condition, he rattles. Concerned owner Chris Morrison heard the rattling coming from his dog's stomach and took his beloved five-year old pet to a vet.
A golf enthusiast, Morrison was stunned to learn that the cause of his dog's unusual affliction was several ingested, yet undigested, golf balls. 13 gold balls to be exact.
"He finds golf balls like truffles. We're not sure how long exactly this happened over, but it must have been a fair period - several months at least.
"I felt his stomach and heard them rattling around.
"He normally brings a few home, but I had no idea he had eaten so many.
"The vet hadn't seen anything like it, it was bizarre.
"He is a black lab so he is a fair size, but to swallow 13 is quite amazing."
The balls were removed in a successful two-hour surgery. Oscar is now doing fine and is expected to make a full recovery, but will have to wear a muzzle whenever he visits a golf course in the future.

I hope that something can be done to help poor animals that think of golf balls as food. imagesby_jack has contributed a photo to this story.

I lived with an Irish Lab with I shared a house with "friends' after college- It eat everything in sight- beautiful but stupid as dogs go. We still bring up that dog in stories at Holiday parties. There are 22 golf balls in that pile. The dog eat 13- wow

I took the shot with my Nikon D40. Used focal length of 55mm. Camera was in shutter priority mode. I used an LED lamp for the side lighting. Thanks for the add!

AKA the stress ball. Every now and then we take a break from shooting pictures of girls and do a little design and product work. Here is one that is more than appropriate lately. Just dial up the days frustrations and swing for the fences.

Horrifying! I couldn't believe ALL the golf balls in this dogs stomach! You could see them bouncing from side to side and hear them clanking together. There he was just as happy as a lark with those golf balls killing him! The horror!

Down time in a hotel can lead to boredom. I had this golf ball in my bag, and started clicking away with my camera. The other photo of the same golf ball is in this set is next to some Right Guard...

The teebox of this hole was marked with two giant golfballs. My first hit on this hole was a fig error with as result my golfball against the teebox marking.
