GOTT IST TOT, -FRIEDRICH NIETSCHE- ”THE GAY SCIENCE”

Gott ist tot, or "God is dead" is a quote from the world-known philosopher Friedrich Nietsche. The quote was never meant as a insult of Gods pure physically condition, but God has lost his ability to govern man, moral and teleology.

Sunday 25.5.08, a documentary was shown on NRK [Norwegian National Broadcasting]. It was produced by the daughter of the known congress member Nancy Pelosi, Alexandra Pelosi. It was called “Friends of God”, and showed a road trip around U.S with Alexandra. The documentary tried to spread the message of how the Christian Evangelists are trying to preach the message of God through theme parks, activities, even Christian wrestling. In an interview one of the asked responded that “he was sure there was a holy war going on in the U.S, to give the land back to the God that had given them it in the first place.” Another responded that “it [the U.S] was a lot better than Europe with all the criminals and the Islamic extremists”. He even proclaimed “Why do we think we left that sinkhole in the first place?

Here in Europe most people respond to the documentary with great hostility and arch- stereotypical questions as “Why are Americans that stupid? Or how stupid is it possible to be?” In an article I wrote a year ago I questioned the media circus concerning the decision of our Princess Her Royal Highness Märtha Louise to found a “School of Angels”. Within two days I received a tremendous amount of replies, most of them featuring “Atheist a**hole” or “Go f*** you Atheist”. It actually turns out that the same type of Christian conservatives exists in your country too.

At the same time, I began at the High School, and it was held a debate. The quote “shoot a Christian” caught my mind, as one of the participants claimed that he had received personal messages from God, but didn’t have any kind of proof or confirmation. It was just a gut feeling. Just as the society of Sion still tries to proof the evolution as likely as a book was created in an explosion in the printing works.

As a reply to my article, “The influence of Christianity part.1” a person with the nickname, “Bustefaen” says that “In the eyes of the church we’re all equal, but some are more equal than others”. As my brain constantly connects the quote to another literary text it do scare me in some degree. George Orwell’s Animal Farm. After Manor Farm was conquered by the animals representing Stalin, Trotsky, Lenin and The People, 7 important rules were nailed up on the wall by Snowball [the character of Lev Trotsky]. Amongst the rules”All animals are equal”, which was soon to be changed with “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others”. The book slowly told about this utopia which was soon to develop into a totalitarian society. Is it possible that some Christian wants a society like this? Where concepts like “communism and socialism” is changed with “World of God”?

Luckily not all Christians are so literalistic towards the Bible. They know the Bible is interpreted differently. In the meanwhile it scares me that some people choose to look towards the U.S, a country based upon the power of wealth and money. There are three main things that should be kept separated, religion, state and money. How come the U.S accepts religions fundamentalism in Saudi-Arabia when they’re waltzing in Afghanistan to, amongst other factors “liberate women”? What would Jesus say towards such hypocrisy and bigotry? It might be that Jesus did exist, but I doubt he would approve it.
What scares me even more was deceased pastor Jerry Falwell and Phyllis Shlafly’s support to CNP [Council on National Policy] a conservative umbrella corp. of CFP [Council on Foreign Policy]. Several known politicians such as Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and John Ashcroft etc. have attended CNP meetings. Also it is to be criticized that such organizations do affect presidential elections. What I mean about affecting is CNP money support to a specific party. It would then help manipulating an election because of the wealth of a party.

Religion as most religions is a form of hideout for people. Karl Marx once said “Religion is an opiate for the masses”. Religion is this form for authority that tells people what to do.

In most cases Christian debaters have claimed that only Islamic extremists perform violent and extreme actions against “the democracy”.
1. It is not only Islamic extremists that constitute a threat against the democracy. Participation and contempt against politicians do.

2. This is heavily ironic because there are a lot of Christian fundamentalists. Everything from our own, infamous agitator Kristopher Schau and his own TV Show “the Seven Sins” to people who claim Christianity is the one correct religion.

One of our previous teachers was nicknamed “Biblesniffer” because of his extremism in his teachings. We once had the topic, “The five major religions in the world”. On the test at the end of the chapter, we had 5 questions about the four exceedingly religions and 35 questions about Christianity. This was supposed to be a neutral test.

I don’t believe in the existence of God nor the Holy Ghost, but what have been acknowledged by historian and scientists, a scholar named Jesus Christ once walked the earth and performed strange deeds. Again one can see that the revelation of “the dead sea scrolls” had a huge impact on people as to what “really happened” We have all heard about Dan brown and the “Da Vinci Code”, but that was pure plagiarism of “Holy Blood, Holy Grail”. Even that was partially fabricated. At least we know that several gospels were turned down, including the gospel of Thomas, during the council of Nicaea around 325 AD.

In an article on the blog named “atheismnews” there was a stanza that caught my interest.

Sun Tzu councils that you should make moves against your enemy from an understanding. Many atheists in America are prepared to engage a Christian in debate over their beliefs. They know how the Christian will react, and what things he is likely to encounter.

And even beyond this quote. It is surely that atheists in America are a minority. Speaking of minorities, even Jerry Falwell claimed that the Christian evangelists in America are “the Minority” I wonder why he claims 50-80 million people a minority.
