Skydiving Video Shows Near-Disaster: Grandma Skydive Harness Mishap

The video below shows an elderly woman (she introduces herself as Laverne) doing her first skydive. When the time comes to jump, the woman is clearly not psyched when the moment of truth comes: the instructor, to whom she is attached by a tandem harness, has to pry her hands from the plane's doorway.

Next we get an object lesson in why you double-check your gear before a skydive. As the parachute deploys, you can see the grandma nearly fall out of the harness. 

Though the situation looks dire (we're pretty sure the skydiving company will have to field a few questions about this incident), nobody gets hurt.
