Grandpa wrestles gator to save beloved pooch

A grandpa wrestled a gator to save his adorable dog Bounce, and he has the scars to prove it. Steve Gustafson, a 66-year-old resident of Lake County, Fla., was working in his back yard when he heard Bounce yelp. The little white West Highland Terrier had been attacked by a seven-foot-long, 130-pound alligator that was carrying the pup while retreating into a nearby pond.

Gustafson sprang into action and leaped onto the alligator's back with no thought for his own safety while yelling, "You're not going to get her!" According to a report by the Huffington Post, "Incredibly, the fit grandpa managed to wrestle the dog from the gator’s deadly jaws -- and both he and Bounce walked away from the encounter with no major injuries."
