A couple in Grant Park Atlanta posted a video footage on Youtube of their home being robbed. The 4 burglars broke into their home, threw a chair at their dog, and took a laptop computer. Now the couple are hoping to catch the burglars with the Youtube video they posted.
Surprisingly, the same thing happened 10 months ago. In October 2008, they uploaded a video of people broke into their house and stole a flatscreen TV. Someone saw the video and called the police, and caught the thieves.
“The last time, our things were recovered within a week,” Alyssa Kopp said on Sunday. “Someone called police with a tip that said, ‘I am watching the people I saw on YouTube unloading a TV at a home.’”
This time, they have twice as many cameras rolling from different angels.
However, the couple is frustrated that the thieves they caught last October are just now being prosecuted.
“It’s doubly frustrating knowing how not cut-and-dry the first case is going through the court system,” she said. “So even if these guys are caught, it’s just the beginning.”
So if you live around that neighborhood, make sure you watch the video.
