'Great sex: God's way' - this is the slogan appearing on a billboard in a small town in Alabama that advertises an upcoming sermon series. In a town where you can't even buy beer, the preacher is tackling the touchy issue of sex and religion.

Daystar Church in Cullman County, with Pastor Jerry Lawson is going to have a month long focus on sex in their sermons. However some say this is not an appropriate subject for church.

"It's really stirred up the people here," said Good Hope town clerk Joann Jones.

Evangelist Roland Belew, a self-described fundamentalist and former trucker who now preaches at a truck stop, said the whole idea goes against the teaching of New Testament apostles.

"Paul said preach the Gospel," said Belew. "Talking about sex ain't gonna get nobody to heaven."

However, the sermon is going to focus on how sex is only acceptable between heterosexual people that are married, and nothing else is allowed.
There have been a few complaints so far, but nothing much to speak of.

What do you think about this?

From the sublime to the rediculous,The world is a very different place now to what it was then.Religion is ones freedom of choice what to believe and what not to believe,The same goes for sex if two consenting adults have been attracted to each other sexually then who is to say what right or wrong. Its the same old religious banter.Preach preach preach,Thats fine but dont expect us all to feel the same way about religious beleifs.

I think this is horrible. A billboard? Where I live there is a gymnasium called "Lords Gym" and their billboards have Jesus with a cross on his back doing pushups! Is that really necessary?
