Took a trail in Griffith Park today, through an area that burned last May. Under the hydromulch, the trail was mostly a fine charcoal, which quickly made its way through my shoes and socks to leave my toes blackened like a tasty cajun fish. I had to stop twice to wipe the soot off my feet while still on my run.
