Yesterday at the Ontronicon video-gaming expo at the Orlando Science Center, Bride, Desirai Labrada, and groom, John Henry were married in full Halo 2 fashion by officiant Master Chief, flanked by two Orbital Drop Shock Trooper witnesses.
If those terms mean nothing to you, chances are your relatives wont be seeing Halo 2 gear at your wedding. This couple, however, having met while playing the game online, felt it only fitting to be married under such a theme. Though the bride and groom themselves were not Halo-clad (save for some minor outfit highlights) the wedding remained obviously Halo themed.
Henry and his groomsmen wore ties emblazoned with his Halo emblem, a sword. Labrada's emblem, a heart with a set of lips, was embroidered onto the sleeves of her gown, and her bridesmaids wore pendants with the symbol around their necks. A string quartet played music from the game's soundtrack. And, of course, there was the officiant, who was outfitted as Master Chief, as well as two camouflage-clad Orbital Drop Shock Troopers who flanked the stage during the wedding.
