Hawk Found Dying With Claw Sticking Through Chest

A dying Hawk was found in Santa Barbara County, Ca. The strange thing is, it had another bird's claw sticking out of it's chest... Anyone having flash backs to 'Aliens'?

I think what's weirder is the fact they don't think the bird it ate clawed its way through it's chest. Typically Hawks do not eat whole birds live.

I didn't think they did either. Maybe another bird clawed it while it was flying away and that's how the claw got stuck. I don't know.. .maybe not!

They speculated in one of the photos that it may have been hit by a car and that may of caused the chest to explode open. In any case it's a crazy act of nature.
