Hej-YA! German attacks Police with Samauri Sword

A 48-year-old man in Berlin's Wedding district called police after he was attacked by a man with a metal rod in the an apartment building entry way late on Thursday night.

The 45-year-old attacker then charged police when they arrived, whilehis 39-year-old wife joined in by hitting and kicking the officers.Both assailants were reportedly heavily intoxicated.

Police attempted to subdue the couple with pepper spray, which promptedthe man to retrieve a samurai sword from his apartment and again attackthe officers, who then called for back up.

Reinforcements were able to overpower and arrest the couple. Policefound a collection of weapons in their apartment, including more swordsand rifle.
