NP Rank:
Hellishly Hot Sauce Dedicated to Bernard Madoff
New York - Alex Gardega has concocted a fitting tribute to disgraced mogul Bernie Madoff: a fiery habanero sauce that'll definitely burn. The text on the bottle reads: "You can take the money but can you take the heat?
Dubbed "Bernie in Hell," the food flavoring has been whipped up by a New York City artist and is as hot as the burning fires where many investors hope Bernie will wind up."I'm not selling hot sauce - I'm selling a statement," said Alex Gardega, an Upper East Side painter and illustrator who says he got the idea for the sauce while dousing his egg with an other sauce and watching news of the Madoff mess on TV. "I said, 'Burn in Hell, Bernie!' I was so mad at this coward, this crook."
The bottle's label features Madoff with satanic horns, flames and a devilish smile and has text asking, "You can take the money, but can you take . . . the heat?!!!"

Pretty good likeness, I'd say, and quite fitting! I went to the creator's website, he hadn't expected to get so much attention, and now has increased his production to 25,000 bottles. Me, I'll stick to Dave's Insanity Sauce, it's supposedly the hottest sauce in the Universe, and comes with a warning. : O

I do like hot, I am not sure if I like this though. :) Would not want to have to see his face all the time.

Normal 0 Bernie Madoff, an American businessman and former non-executive chairman of the NASDAQ stock exchange who was convicted of operating a Ponzi scheme. A 1969 Rybovich would be a nice addition to the family toys. A 1969 Rybovich is not a classic car, it's a boat, and they retail for about $2 million, a classic luxury yacht. Well, the one that was owned by Bernie Madoff was just seized in order to get some cash advances to the people he ripped off. The bulk of his holdings and property are going to be sold in order to raise funds to make some sort of reparations for the $40 billion he ripped off from clients. Still, a lot of people would need some serious cash advances to afford a 1969 Rybovich.
