NP Rank:
Heroism and Empathy Displayed By Man's Best Friend
This is a link to an article, that includes video, that highlights animals' ability to exhibit concern for one another, all in all, not very surprising to most animal lovers, be they man, woman or child.
In the first video, captured by surveillance camera in Chile, demonstrating heroism and the animal's disregard for self endangerment, a dog was filmed dragging a second dog across a highway to safety after the second dog had been struck by a vehicle on the highway.
The second video concerns a study that seems to show that animals will shun attention from humans if their companion animal is ignored.

I have three dogs. Two are rescues. One survived a fire and stayed next to me in bed for almost two years. Many can tell if one is having a seizure or insulin shock. They are amazing animals. Thanks for this article.
