Hillary Clinton Auctions Off Date with Bill Clinton
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is auctioning off her husband Bill Clinton in hopes of paying off debts from last year's presidential bid.
On the Hillary Clinton website, donors can contribute to win a seat at the season finale of American Idol, a weekend in Washington D.C. including tours and lunch with a politician, or a day with Bill Clinton in New York. The Bill Clinton auction is a strategy to pay off the $6 million campaign debt Hillary owes.
The Hillary Clinton auction will take place on April 25.
Like any sitting cabinet member, Clinton is allowed to continue raising money to retire old debt. But federal ethics laws prohibit her from personally soliciting donations.
