Should we believe our eyes only?

Should we believe our eyes only?

People seem to believe only what they see or their eyes. Best example is many people are considering the Bible as something myth. This implies that any historical literature written without physical (e.g. monuments, Inscriptions, fossils, etc) evidence is fake and myth. Is good trend?

To me this situation is an implication that people are becoming untrustworthy. In my 10s of age (now I am 50s), contract was oral and anyone deviating oral promise was making suicide with a feeling of guilty. These days, many pages of contractual agreement is becoming worthless as people is breaching it. Rejecting past literatures as fake and myth is same to this. Oh, my Go!!!

If Moses’s books the, Genesis, are considered as myth, it means Shakespeare’s literatures were also myth and fake. It also implies that history in general is myth. What is the use of historians and the discipline history if this is the case? What is the use of the ear as sense organ if we don’t believe what is told to us? What is relevant for the blinds to live?

Letemdangle, its about the relevance of trustworthiness and about taking as literatures granted as facts. Past literatures like the Bible were written in the society and do not come from forests. Moses was within a society when writing the Bible and if the Bible was a myth, it would have been commented by others in the society. So, why people say the Bible is myth?

Uuuuum, Shakespeare's works were fictional, they have never been accepted as fact. Besides that your logic is shaky at best,......you are basically claiming that if we do not accept the bible as being completely true then we cannot accept anything as completely true. Retard.

"To understand the bible requires inward reflection or time to think, our lives today limits us."

Yes, Letemdangle! I completely agree with you. Like of time and anxiety of living has changed peoples beliefs, values and behaviours. The changed beliefs, values and behaviours are not good; they are values and behaviors toward dismantling the good social institutions (marriage, religion, contract, money, democracy, etc) and human norms.

"it means Shakespeares literatures are also myth and fake"   So basically he was entertaining the concept that Shakespeare's "literatures" were actual historic events. "revealed the truth of human behaviour" LOL! Are you shitting me? The reason for Shakespeare's popularitywas he was regarded as a beautiful wordsmith. His sociological insights have never really held much weight.

I think the Bible is a beautiful work of literature but it is much more than that. It is also the history of the Jewish people. The Bible also offers rules, guidelines, and consequences to a people that seem to have become spritually and socially out of control. The world is already full of chaos but just imagine what humans would be like without the Bible and various other works of literature to rely on. Some control is good unless of course it becomes fanatical .

Ohhh... No no Clotee Allochku, the Bible is the real word of the Almighty God and the Prophets. Please, believe and you will have eternal life. Please, read the bible and you will be renewed. Please, read the bible and you will be filled with the Holy spirit. Believe me!

The Bible is not the story of the Israelis only but also the basis of  beliefs and values of peoples of the world who are wise and eager to value it.

The Israelis are lost for not accepting Jesus who come to this world and clariefied the old testament. Clotee Allochuku, be wise not to be one of the lost. It is about the end of the world when Jesus is expected to come and you will be negatively judged if you are in doubt. I advise you to be careful. I swere! I swere!
