i love my Kindle but have always thought its case was lame so i decided to do something about it. i took an appropriately sized hard cover book (roughly 6 1/2" x 9" 1/2")  off the shelf (in this case George Gilder's Telecosm - no disrepect to book or author), opened the front cover, traced the Kindle unit on the first page with a pencil and proceeded to carve out the footprint of the Kindle with an Xacto knife until i got through to the last page.

I was very happy with the way it turned out and may carve out (recycle) a few other old books to create other stealth storage units.
