Hummer drives over police cars

As if Hummers aren't annoying enough on their own, now someone's attempted to escape the long arm of the law by simply driving one over police cruisers. If it weren't a beautiful Friday I'd hate everything again.

MARKHAM, Ont. - Three people from the Toronto area are facing several charges after they allegedly fled a break-and-enter scene in a Hummer and then drove into a pair of police cars.

York Regional Police say officers were investigating the break-and-enter in Markham, Ont., on Wednesday afternoon when they saw three people with allegedly stolen property.

Police say the suspects got into a Hummer and drove over the hood of a police cruiser, travelling up the windshield before falling off.

The Hummer then hit another car in the street before reversing into a second police cruiser and coming to a stop.

No police officers were injured in the incident.

Shivek Sharma, 19, and Zara Bajwa, 18, both from Markham, are charged with break and enter and stolen property offences, while Asim Ali, 21, from Toronto, faces eight charges, including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

I am willing to bet the driver was under the influence of Grand Theft Auto IV

or  III or II or I... none of those games should have been published... Games like that ruin lives, and the lives of others around them.

good stuff:

Rob Peters, I like this story. It's good stuff. You got the Youngsters running, look at all the Hummer cult images, naturally you get a clean Hydrogen Hummer with the Terminator Schwarzenegger from me. Have some fun.

Video Games don't kill people. People kill people.

They need to send these boys into the Army. Then they drive all the badly armored Hummers they want into unsuspecting Iraqui civilians. Unfortunately that's all you hear about. A lot of troops just drive their Hummers into unsuspected IEDs. What a bunch of putzes. Hummers are bad enough as examples of over consumption and ego.

MusicMan_Alan

Video games are a leading cause, they change the mindset of a human being, so they relate badly in reality. So, games like GTA definitely cause an impact on how one thinks.
