I would take my .357 Magnum out for a bike ride

So this guy who used to be mayor of Seven Mile, Ohio was out for a bike ride with his wife when a 10 pound terrier started chasing him. Fearing for his life after he fell off his bike, he pulls out his .357 Magnum and fires five shots. One of the five shots hit and killed the little dog. This was apparently a perfectly legal thing to do.

There are so many things wrong with this story, I don't know where to begin.

>>Seriously, he feared for his life? Did he think the tiny dog would suddenly morph into a T-Rex and swallow him whole?

>>Why on earth would you shoot a little dog?!? If it was attacking you, all you'd have to do is kick the little monster off your leg.

>>What possessed they guy to take his handgun for a bike ride? Just because we have a concealed carry law in Ohio doesn't mean you have to take the damn thing with you everywhere.

>>The sherrif's department says that he has done nothing illegal. There is no law preventing someone from firing a gun in the village. What is little kids were outside plying and this whack job was out there shooting a little dog? There's something wrong here.
