An earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 5.4 struck southern Illinois early Friday, and was felt throughout the Chicago and Indiana area.

My wife was talking to her mother this morning at about 6:00am CST. Mom mentioned that she felt the earthquake and that it woke her. When you consider that all three of us live on the Illinois/Wisconsin line right at Lake Michigan you have got to know that the quake packed some oomph.
