A 21-year-old German man broke into his female neighbour's home and put on a one-man lingerie fashion show for himself. He was caught, panties in hand.

The young man, who lives in the town of Teuchern in Saxony-Anhalt, was surprised in flagrante delicto when his female neighbour returned home, according to a police spokeswoman.

He hit her with a metal shoehorn on the head so hard that she fell to the floor.

But later, the man turned himself in and spent the night in police custody.
