The gnome in the photo comes from the book Gnome and Garden: A Gnovelty Kit which I purchased in 2005. Two years later I randomly met the author's sister, who of course had her own gnome. I'm happy to report that the author's sister and I are now engaged and the two gnomes lives together happily on our bookshelf.
