Improv Everywhere Stages Star Wars Scene on NYC Subway

Princess Leia thought she was safe as she got the 6 Train at Brooklyn Bridge. However, it was not long before Imperial stormtroopers caught her and brought her before Darth Vader. Leia's fellow commuters, in standard New York fashion, just watched, laughed, and filmed the drama on their phones.

Improv Everywhere had struck again, staging the classic first meeting between Darth Vader and Princess Leia on New York's subway system. The costumes were top-notch, provided by some of the folks at College Humor. By getting the details right, Improv Everywhere created what looks like an amazing experience for New York's harried commuters.

That's No Express Platform... That's a Space Station

Hey, it could be a lot worse than going to work: you could be apprehended by an evil Jedi and watch in horror as your home planet is blown to pieces. Think about it.

We used our beloved 6-train stop at Brooklyn Bridge for the start of the mission. We staggered our agents, sending Darth and the Stormtroopers ahead on one train to meet up with Leia later in a second train. We planned to stage the mission several times over the course of a couple of hours. If you've got all those awesome costumes together, you better do it more than once!
One thing we learned is that almost every human will immediately take out their camera when they see Darth Vader.

Though unrelated to the street theatre described above, we're also including some footage of Boba Fett playing the accordion on a subway platform. How can we not?
