Zinch is an interactive website for high school students and colleges. It is also a good tool for students and parents alike to find out more about a particular school. Any high school student in the world, free of charge, can create a comprehensive online profile to help optimize their exposure in the college recruitment process. Students actively engage in the college admissions process by sharing information with prospective colleges through their social medium, the Web. What does this mean for you as a college or university? Simple: better information + better communication = better fit.

To students the website says “almost all colleges find and recruit students through standardized test scores. Zinch allows students to be seen for what they are — not just numbers, but people. You are more than a test score. You are more than a test score. Show the real you. Without Zinch, the only thing colleges know about you (before you send in an application) is how well you did on a standardized test. They base their recruiting decisions on that. Should you be defined by that test score? Does that represent who you really are and what you’re all about? Nope. I didn’t think so. You are unique. You are talented. You are awesome. Zinch allows you to show it.”

According to the website currently there are more than 475 colleges from all over America who are actively searching for students on Zinch to meet their school’s needs.
