Rev. Keith LeBlanc Used Church Money to Buy Porn, Say Police

Keith LeBlanc, a priest and former pastor at John the Baptist Church in Boston, was charged with forgery and larceny after allegedly stealing over $80,000 in church funds, which he used to buy pay-per-view porn as well as pay rent on an apartment and credit card bills.

According to the investigation, $4000 went to porn, and Keith LeBlanc's credit card debt was around $25,000.

In the face of the investigation, Keith LeBlanc resigned from his post and entered a "treatment program" at the Saint John Vianney Center, which is "a faith-centered community that specializes in the treatment of behavioral health issues that are unique to Catholic clergy and consecrated religious[sic]".

The police report charges that LeBlanc stole $83,149 between 2004-2010. About $50,000 of this amount consisted of funds raised via offertory donations, candle/flower sales, and the annual Christmas bazaar.

“Father LeBlanc admitted to (Archdiocese attorney Mark) Dunderdale that he has an addiction and needs help,” a police report on file at Haverhill District Court states.
