The crustacean was so heavy that it broke the winch on board Jack Baker and Mark Tennyson's fishing boat.

Weighing in at 5.88kg (12.9lbs) and measuring 32in (81cm) long, the huge creature is the largest of its kind to be caught in British waters in nearly 80 years.

The male lobster was caught on Friday as the men fished between Bigbury Bay and Hope Cove in Devon.
