Luntik: Four-Eared Russian Kitten

Luntik is a three-month-old kitten who hails from Vladivostik, Russia. He was born with four ears: two smaller ears in front of his larger "normal" ears. Luntik gets his name from a purple cartoon monster who has... you guessed it... four ears.

Luntik's extra ears are sort of like street glow on an import tuner: decoration only, with no performance enhancement. The extra ears are vestigial and non-functioning.

The middle photo in the Mail Online story is the best: Luntik looking cool as a dog just stares at him.

These ‘spare’ ears have no canals, however, so won’t offer Luntik supersonic hearing

We think that The Mirror meant "super-sensitive", as opposed to the cat being able to hear things faster than other animals can.

Luntik is not the first four-eared cat on the scene: check out Yoda.
