Man orders pet snake to attack police
"Luckily for them that 2.7-meter-long pythons are not very obedient" I think lucky for the man the snake didn't turn around and attack him instead. This guy seems crazy, threatening everyone with retiles.
Police in Bridgeport, Connecticut, said yesterday they arrested a man after he ordered his pet to attack two officers. Lucky for them that 2.7-meter-long pythons are not very obedient.
Bridgeport Police Lieutenant James Viadero says 21-year-old Victor Rodriguez was charged with threatening police and disorderly conduct after Monday's incident. No one was hurt.
Officers were called to Rodriguez's apartment on a report that he was threatening his girlfriend with the pet reptile.
Viadero says that when the building superintendent opened the apartment door for the officers, Rodriguez allegedly threatened them with the snake and told it to "Get them!"
Rodriguez and his pet were both taken away: Rodriguez to jail on a US$10,000 bond, and the albino python to the city's animal control shelter.

JeffHuang, I like this story. It's good stuff. That's ridiculous. Was the snake trained by any chance? Highly unlikely.

I hope for the man's sake he was drunk and/or high otherwise he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer and I feel bad for the snake. The snake I took a picture of was found in the middle of the road in an area where snakes aren't seen very often. Louisville, Kentucky

I hesitated allowing my photos for this story because of the HUGE misconception of snakes in general. I didn't want to add to the primal fear that most humans have of them. So here's a few FYIs.
Snakes usually only attack when they feel threatened, obviously the snake in the story was having a good day. Snakes will leave/run/slither when humans approach. Snakes make very cool pets.
I hope that the snake found a good home.
