Making a million on ebay seems to be everyones dream. Get out those Baseball cards, old electronics equiptment, and what the heck, throw in a cheating wife. The bids were coming in when eBay thought it a bit inappropriate for a man to sell his wife and took the auction down. The man told reporters he had taken the auction down himself

A father-of-two who suspected his wife was having an affair with another man exacted his revenge by trying to sell her on eBay.
Paul Osborn, from the UK, booted his wife Sharon from their home and listed her on the auction website.

His description of a "lying, cheating, adulterous slag of a wife" attracted worldwide attention with bids going as high as $1,000,000 the UK's Sun newspaper reports.

Mrs Osborn denied ever having an affair and police are now investigating claims of harassment.

The 44-year-old said he had his wife's extramarital affair confirmed when he read her emails.

"I started checking her emails and I realised the rumours were true - they had been discussing their sex life together and making plans for the future," Mr Osborn was quoted as saying.

"In a fit of rage I put the advert on eBay. I later took it off because I realised it wasn’t the right thing to do. "I was just so angry."

A police complaint was made against Mr Osborn by his wife and her friend, who both have said "nothing is going on".

Well that is one way to seek revenge. I can't believe that discription generated that much profit!

I shouldn't laugh but I have to admit that's funny. The photo he chose is particularly charming...

politisite:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, in order to be able to SELL something ... must one have possesion of said object?

The story said that Mr. Osborn had kicked his wife out of the house. Wouldn't have been better to lock Mrs. Osborn up in the basement?

I really liked the fact that the "Mrs." and said "Friend" took out a complaint on Mr. Osborn with the police together.

Regards, Ed
