Martha Thompson, who drive a school bus while drunk, was sentenced to 12 weekends in jail, six months of home electronic monitoring, five years' probation, and alcohol conseling for driving a school bus carrying 37 kids while she had a blood alcohol level of .15, nearly twice the legal limit. The incident was captured on the bus' video camera. There's a video of the terrified and angry kids trying to get Martha Thompson to stop the school bus. Finally, after Martha Thompson backed the bus into a ditch, the kids escaped out the emergency door at the rear of the bus.

Martha Thompson later pled guilty to two counts of drunk driving and 37 counts of reckless endangerment. I would think that the sentence would be more severe, actually.
