Moon Landing Hoax Theory Revived by Restored NASA Video, Photos
The long standing conspiracy theories of a moon landing hoax have been revived with the release July 16 of new, digitally remastered photos and video from the Apollo 11 mission. 40 years after the historic moon landing was first broadcast across the globe accusations persist that the mission was an elaborately staged hoax.
Bill Kaysing's "We Never Went to the Moon: America's Thirty Billion Dollar Swindle", was released in 1974, two years after the Apollo Moon flights had ceased and was the beginning of the moon landing hoax conspiracy theories. In a post-Vietnam War, post-Watergate era the American people were jaded and quick to accept anything that acted as further proof that those in power could not be trusted. The moon landing hoax theories found fertile soil in this new skeptical cultural mood.
NASA's newly released remastered photos and video of the 1959 moon landing have done little to silence the critics, in fact it has given them new fuel to the moon landing hoax fire. According to moon landing conspiracy theorists the Van Allen radiation belts, solar flares, solar wind, coronal mass ejections, and cosmic rays would make a trip to the moon impossible and are proof enough of a hoax.
NASA had discovered and restored tapes of the moon landing that had been missing for 40 years.
The timing seemed highly coincidental, but it's true. And NASA just now has released the restored video.
You can check it here, where they show side-by-side comparisons of the vintage footage we all know and the new, restored video.
It's not IMAX-like, but the "new" video is notably sharper, and details that have been shrouded in shadows emerge.
We will immediately start poring over the footage to see how it bolsters the theory that the landing was a hoax.(We still don't see any stars!!!)
Also, the new footage reveals the startling fact that the Hurricane Bear was in the background.

OK, the story I've heard from a pretty good rumour mill is; we went to the moon but some of the photos were faked for PR purposes. NASA needed guaranteed results to justify their funding and some, possibly most, of the photos were disappointing. Ironically, part of the faking may have been done to boost the fact the landing was real and not faked. Remember there was a cold war on and the USSR needed their noses rubbing in it.

A few years ago, the Japanese sent a probe to the moon. It took some amazing pictures, but none of them revealed any of the 6 landing sites. How can someone explain that

The Japanese only sent recently a probe that is currently taking photographs. Resolution of cameras is the big question here. How far high do you need to fly over earth to be able to photograph a bus?

1959??
If you're going to publish something - get facts right.

Yeah, 1959 was the first moon landing, 12 years after we first landed on Mars, in 1949.

Hahaha... But the Nazi's got there first in 1944...
