Mountain climbers who saved abandoned dog Missy in line to adopt
One of the eight brave mountain climbers who rescued Missy the German shepherd mix abandoned along the ridge connecting the 14,000 feet high Mount Bierstadt and Mount Evans in Colorado last month will be eligible to adopt the five-year-old dog. The men have been invited to the Ellen Degeneres Show on Monday to share their experience.
Missy had been on the mountain ridge alone for eight days with no food or water.
Anthony Ortolani, 31 who is Missy's owner has agreed to allow one of Missy's rescuers to adopt her. According to the trailer for the television show, John Steed is looking forward to his new canine companion.

The couple used their first-aid kit to attend to the dog's immediate injuries, gave her water, and promised her they would return.
