The mystery has deepened surrounding explosions that shook the Kincardine area last Thursday with University of Western Ontario scientists ruling out a meteor shower.

“Something pretty significant exploded south and west of Goderich and Kincardine. It could have exploded out in Lake Huron,” said Dr. Peter Brown, associate professor in the department of physics and astronomy at Western and the Canada Research Chair of meteor science.

wake up folks it did come from the nuclear plant, guess this area becoming the world's site for nuclear waste is becoming a reality. This explosion rocked my skeleton from the ground up at a high vibration. My teeth chattered.

We won;t know the truth until the head - haunchos at the plant are retired or dead themselves. period.

I share my home with the nuclear plant along lake huron, just a few miles away and truly they are lying if they deny the explosion didn't come from there.

Im sorry but there is no evidence that the vibrations or noise came from the Bruce Nuclear power station. Did you happen to look at the information about the 'explosions'? They took place SOUTH of Kincardine. The nuclear plant is NORTH or Kincardine! The explosions are interesting and concerning to all residents, but lets not jump to conclusions. For all we know it is just as likely aliens caused the booms!  or it could have a completly scientific answer. We will just have to wait and find out.

There has been some wicked weather this summer and I have witnessed thunder that felt like a bomb going off! There were a few times I ran outside only to see lightning a minute later and a repeat of the huge thunder booms.
