Woman Buys Phone, Finds Out It's Pre-Loaded with Porn
An Ann Arbor, Michigan woman named Rhonda Lee bought an HTC EVO phone from a third-party Sprint dealer under the impression that the phone was new. However, when showing off the high-end handset's features to her friends, they all discovered a cache of pre-loaded pornographic videos. The woman was mortified.
At first, the staff of the store that sold Lee that the phone was new, but, when challenged with why a new phone would have several pre-installed porn videos, they admitted that it had been purchased once before, and subsequently returned.
"I'm so, so embarrassed, you couldn't imagine … I mean for you to be going through your phone and you have friends and you're going through your phone and all of a sudden porn shows up. I mean so, so upset," said Lee.
When Local 4 asked a Sprint salesman if it was common practice to sell used phones as new ones, he told us to contact the corporate offices.

I worked at Sprint and I had two customers, come across that same problem. In a 4 month period. What happens is someone buys a phone and has the 30 day money back guarantee and returns the phone. If its returned soon enough It would possibly be sold as new if supplys were short like the EVO.
